Colourful Retro Kitchen

When you hear the phrase ‘1960’s Milanese café’ during the initial brief, you know the end result is going to be out of the ordinary.  We worked closely with our client to create a design that brought their vision of a unique and colourful retro kitchen to life.

Inset stained birch plywood doors with white surrounds, a nod to Le Corbusier, established a distinctively mid-century feel in the space. Pops of colour from the Hi-Macs worktops and fridge doors were added to compliment the strong yellow laminate in the wall cupboard doors. A hanging gantry and bespoke drinks cabinet, made using stainless steel and reeded glass, made use of the high ceilings and helped define the kitchen from the living space.
